Following in the Shetland style a squarish hap shawl. I want a hap blanket yet am leary of starting one so I thought I would make the shawl & then the blanket.

Got to the place to start the feather & fan. put it on a lifeline. Tried it on & it is too short. Adding more rows to it. The feather & fan is 18 stitches.

Got four of the feather & fan rows completed. May make a lot more just to add length to the shawl. Am thinking I should have used a more contrasting yarn, not really liking the combo knitted up.

Finished, but I was hoping it would be a little longer. So I shall give it away or sell it, don’t know yet.

Edit I gave it to one of my dearest friends that is looking for something to cover her shoulders while she reads.
