Bev bought this beautiful yarn to knit herself a vest and then decided she couldn’t do it justice, so called on me.

She wanted a basic round-necked vest and I really couldn’t find one on Ravelry at this gauge, so decided to wing it. There were a couple of patterns, but old ones, and out of print. I guess basic vests are not very fashionable now.

Ran into a big problem with the yarn. Bev was assured she had the same dye lot, but the salesperson didn’t bother to check and see the amount of color added to the skeins. She ended up with 2 pale, 2 medium and 1 dark. I’ve had to group a pale and medium together, use both, and change on every 2nd row. That seems to be working.

Lots of yarn left over so making a slouchy beanie to match
