When I had dinner with John earlier this year he mentioned that Elizabeth’s hands are often cold, so I decided to knit her a hat and mitt set. I thought these colors will look good on her--and since I already had the kit it seemed like a good in-between-big-projects cast on!

I started this and knit much of the brim on the Isle of Skye, then knit all of the body a month later once I was home and had finished the Firebirds Wrap.
