Yarn held double. Loving how it’s turning out, but losing steam because k3, p3 forever and ever and ever gets boring even if it is bulky and knits up relatively quickly…

… finished! Here’s my Instagram caption:

Newly finished sweater! It’s the Spiral Pullover by Cathy Carron from knit.purl magazine (2014). I used @knit_picks Simply Wool worsted held double, Winkle colorway. I think my only modification was to add a couple of decreases on the arms around the elbows, to bring them in a little and switch the direction of the spirals. yarn

It was a really fun pattern, construction-wise, except that k3, p3 forever and ever and ever got boring to do after awhile so I kept putting it down for loooong stretches. I started it on my trip to Stitches in Pasadena last November, so I spent just over a year on it, but it’s actually a pretty darn quick sweater in the bulky gauge! yarn

The spirals are made by working k3, p3 around a number of stitches not divisible by 3, so you just keep on going around and around and the stitches spiral. Similar concept to my insta-hat pattern! And it’s soooo squishy—loved the Simply Wool!! A+ project, would recommend!
