This will be a striped blanket made with various stitch patterns. It is not my design. I’m following the instructions from Julie at Little Woollie Blog. I just love her choice of colors and patterns.
This link will take you to the beginning. Additional instructions are updated as she makes progress.

And here’s the link to my blog - which includes a list of colors used for each row and the stitch.

One mistake I made already - start each row from the right, moving left. Do not turn the work and go the other direction unless specifically stated. :/ (You can see this in the zig zag section where the stitches are gathered together. That should be on the back, not the front. Sigh.)
Quick Note - I did begin with 390ish stitches, as directed by Julie on her blog, which is wide enough for my king size bed.
Dec. 2 - Making good progress, but this is a slow blanket.
January 2 - update on my blog. Fixing a mistake…separating the work into two pieces….redoing a ton of stuff. Ugggggg.
January 22 - more progress! Fixed the problems and added quite a bit more. Running out of yarn….hope my order of Stylecraft arrives soon. :)
February 27….it’s 7/12 feet wide (230 cm) and 4 1/2 feet long (138 cm)…and it’s only half done. My husband is harassing me (lovingly) suggesting it will weigh 20 pounds when completed. He might be right!
January 2013! A full year later…. I let this sit over the summer, as it was just too hot to work on a heavy blanket like this one. I’m finally working on it again, and decided it is big enough. It’s border time. Keeping it simple right now - but that may change.
January 27 - I can’t believe it’s FINALLY done! Yahoo! The last bit on the edge is Edie Eckman’s Border #133. I think it looks terrific.
Fits a king-size bed!
