Never throw out hand woven scraps! I used a variety of my hand woven scraps and a couple of student scraps left over for my hassack bag! It morphs to a cute shape when filled and carried .
I was at the credit union standing in line when a person had a leather bag the shape of a hassock bag in Front of me. It was smaller and in general to boring but i liked the shape i thought about the bag for months then i drew some sketches and cut out the lining first and pieced some saori scraps and made it into the bag! The zipper was one i had on hand it should have been black but i did not have the right size in black but it does nit clash so it does not bug me . I have used my bag right from the start! It is really durable!
Premade leather handles
they looked so cute on my bag!
Zippered , lined in black cotton and interface with extremely thick interfacing. Big eough for my lap top, or a week end bag. I love it . When it is sitting it looks like a hassack so that is why i called it that!
I use this bag every day and adore it. I have people try to buy it from me but this one is just for me. For a change!
Peaceful weaving
