I knitted this waiscoat on my Bond knitting machine in two days (about 3/4 hours).

First I made the 40’ bust size, but it seemed HUGE !!
I think clearly it has a issue with the dimensions the pattern gives.

Then I took a few hours to re-calculate all the thing, and I came to the conclusion I had to make the smallest size to fit my bust !!

It turned out great, despite I find the armhole too large (under the arm), and I wonder if I’ll be able to improve that when I knit (by hand) the armbands.

I used 230g aran wool (the pattern is mistaken when it says “8 balls” !!!)

I upload the pattern I draw…I think if I knit it again I’ll increase the lenght between waist and bust and decrease the lenght between bust and shoulder : 73 rows are perhaps a bit too much.

Finished !I didn’t follow the pattern’s instructions for the bands. I made them in garter stitch, knitting 4 rows.

In conclusion, despite the poor original pattern (beginner knitters should avoid it !) I’m very pleased with my MODIFIED waistcoat, and I think I’ll knit another one perhaps in green…
