I used a mystery Gala yarn, which I am sure was cotton, and much heavier than the pattern was designed for.

I made this in the heady days before I wrote down what I was doing. I didn’t even swatch.

I crocheted a shell edging to the lace, for additional depth and weight. I also added a crochet button as a closure.

This pattern was my first time with short rows. It was fun to make and I love how it turned out.
