Notes

Using worsted 3 ply so having to modify the pattern to get the right sizing.

I knitted this to a size 5 due to it being 10 ply rather than 12 ply. The sizing matched perfectly with my previous spring butterfly done in size 2, however the yarn is softer and I’m anticipating it will stretch more. A size 4 may ultimately be a better choice, but time will tell. Button holes are placed every 10 rows but could have been every 12 rows. The 12 ply pattern suggests every 8 rows for size 5.

The body was done to a size 2 as I was using 10 ply instead of 8 ply. This involved increases every 6-7 stitches. This worked really well too. I completed 12 increase rows rather than 11 as suggested by the pattern.

Bottom was done as a frill combined with picot cast off. I love this combination.

Just waiting for the buttons to arrive and then we’re all finished. :-)

Struggling to get an accurate colour, but the closest match is probably the one in the first photo. It’s a bit more apple green than the picture suggests.
