Notes

Knitted a ribbed collar for a cozy sweater with crew neck.

Collar became too wide after washing (+6cm) - frogged it and knitted it completely new as version 2

Used the remaining 42g /110m of the Rowan yarn from my triangle scarf “Little acts of kindness” because it matches very well color-wise.

Knitting details

  • Cast on - 87 stitches (7 - 80 - 7), including 14 stitches for button bands
  • 4 button holes - in rows 4,5 + 12,13 + 24,25 + 34,35, each 3 stitches long
  • Increases inside ribbing - added 4 stitches in row 9 using kfb, between the button bands and the main part

Knitting stitches

  • Collar: 1x1 ribbing
  • button bands: pearl stitch
  • raglan part: stockinette (add)

Raglan shaping

  • raglan increases started at the end of the ribbing, with start of row 17 after 16 rows of ribbing.

  • raglan markers put on stitches (add)

  • +8 stitches added in rows 17, 19, 21 and 23. (add)
