The lime green kitchen cotton doesn’t have a band, so I had to guess on the brand. The hat is coming along nicely. For the ear flaps, I was a bit confused on the directions, so I counted 15 sts from the back to the front with the hat folded in half and added my yarn there, working the earflap towards the back. Not sure if that was what was intended, but it looks ok on the baby head.
Hat is a bit snug on “Chucky.” I think Chucky is about a size 6 month size head.
If I were to make this size again, I would downsize the skull. The skull is one size fits all in the pattern, so a newborn hat would have the same size as the adult. I would definitely change that next time. Other than that, I love the pattern and will make more in the future. I’m thinking the next one might be black and pink stripes with a white or aqua skull and crossbones.
