I am using worsted weight yarn and size 9 needles to achieve a more substantial shawl for my son’s girlfriend to use while nursing. I used short rows in the center section to help it stay on the shoulders a bit better, and I’ve added depth by increasing several more sets. The lace edging is very nice and the directions are easy to follow. Garter stitch is also nice on the hands and wrist.
