6/16/13 - All the flowers are finished! There are 59 in total. I just need to weave in the ends.

6/14/13 - I managed to get 9 more flowers done during the week. I figure with 29 rows I have about 60 or so flowers in total. I’ve stopped working on my blanket so that I can get this done in time to wear for summer.

6/9/13 - I’ve done 29 rows of the body and decided that’s a good size for me. I’m doing the flower edging from the Sprout Chains Shawlette. The little flowers are so darling! I can’t wait until they’re finished. I’ve only done one flower -a wee bit tedious but totally worth the effort.

6/2/13 - I thought I could bust out the body of this shawl over the weekend, but with a baby to take care of, no such luck! I made about 18 rows. I’ve decided I’ll continue to work on this weekends only. Weekdays will be for blanket making.

6/1/13 - The weather is so hot, I wanted a break from blanket making. So I thought I’d give this a shot. I bought this yarn to make a gift for a friend who, sadly, is no longer my friend. Which means I get to make something for myself!

The tutorial video on the DROPS site is great. I watched it several times, and the first few rows were slow going but once I got the hang of it the shawl is growing very quickly. I don’t think I’ll use the border in the pattern. I’d like to do some kind of dangly flower thing.
