I wish that I could keep this. I adore this pattern. My favorite triangle pattern ever. It was as much a joy to knit as it is to look at. It makes a perfect gift but but next I want to do one for myself.

This started off as a variation of Truly Tasha’s shawl with different yarn but has been changed to a Swallowtail. It will be a birthday gift for a very dear friend’s birthday.

mods.- Did 19 repeats of the budding lace instead of 14. This meant that I needed to add 2 stitches, one at each end to begin the lol chart. For the last chart, I used 3.75 mm needles and the last 2 rows 4mm needles. Next time I think that I will increase repeat rows 3-12 of the lol section instead . I have always thought that this is the prettiest triangle pattern out there and would like to make one for my daughter and one for myself as well. I actually prefer the nupps to the beads as it gives such a soft gentle look.

After uploading the pics, I caught a nupp that I had missed a catch on. Easy repair. They became quite easy near the end, not so bad. Still not my favorite thing to do but they are very pretty and soft. I adore the look of them on this shawl. Just the right amount and so beautifully placed. Can you tell that I really love this pattern? I can see several more in my future.
