After my friend Amanda saw the whale I made for Jessica/her baby (Jessica has decided it is her whale, not the baby’s), Amanda asked me to knit one for a baby of a friend of hers.

But then Amanda realized she might have trouble parting with the whale. So, because these are so easy and relatively quick to make, and because I am a really good friend, I told her that I would make her two, and she could choose which one to keep and which to give away.

March 11, 2018

Finished the first whale. Amanda has decided that he is named Gary. I’m only working on these while hanging out with Amanda, so I did about half last Sunday and half this Sunday. Next hangout, I will start the second one!

Knit the second whale, Marty, almost entirely tonight. He just needs side fins, which I will do Sunday when next we hang out!

Marty is awesome and multi-coloured but Amanda has decided Gary is her first love, so Marty will be going to the baby home.

Finished Marty’s side fins! These two are a fine looking pair, I must say.
