I made this pattern especially for my mother´s 65th birthday. I wanted to give her something special, made with love. The result was “Mors lune sokker” which is Norwegian and translates into something like “Snug socks for mum”.

I wanted to make a sock pattern that was so easy that people didn´t have to pay too much attention to what they were knitting. I call patterns like that “brain dead”, so the name of this pattern was kind of a given. The pattern is easily divided by 2. Skedaddle means to “to run away hurriedly”, and since this is a very quick knit, I found the name suitable. This is a cuff-down, plain vanilla sock with a braid on the back of the leg and a bit of contrast color on one of the socks.

This pattern was made specially for a knitting friend of mine. I wanted to make her something special, so I knitted her a pair of socks, wrote down the pattern and gave her both for Christmas. The socks turned out really nice, so I decided to make them available for you too.
