I knit this with 2 one pound cones of cotton and had a fair ammount left over.

This pattern itself is fairly easy to knit. However, there are two rows in the pattern that requires every stitch to be cabled. I highly recommend that you learn how to cable without a cable needle.

I used one hank for the original pair and I knit them toe up. However, I recommend that you purchase 2 hanks to ensure that you have enough for a pair. You will have plenty of yarn left over.
