It’s an easy-peasy, reversible, crocheted in the round cowl with two different textures: horizontal ribs vs subtle diagonal ribbing. I’m giving indications for a fingering type yarn, but the pattern can be adapted to any kind of yarn...

This pattern will enable you to construct crocheted, diagonal squares with the woven stitch as dish clothes, or units to join together for making an afghan or blanket.

I wanted to do a second version of the Golden Gate Waves Cowl, but twisting the waves at a 90° so that the ripple is now vertical. The two patterns are thus very similar
