This fetching little hat may be worked flat with straight needles, or in-the-round with a 16-inch circular needle and a set of double-pointed needles. It is the perfect hat to show off an extra-large button, bow, or other embellishment. Great for boys and girls alike! A list of suggestions is included.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Be sure to use the proper yarn. Thick-thin yarns come in all different thicknesses. You can’t go wrong if you order from: www.1azcolorworks.etsy.com or www.1akashazeropointcolorworks.artfire.com
Knitting: Earflap Hat
One skein of 33 yards is enough for the SIMPLE (no braids) version in the newborn size. Two skeins (66 yards) makes the super cute braided newborn hat.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a very quick knit, and a very versatile hat. If you need it for a photo prop, think about using a neutral color and adding a detachable flower pin or ribbon to “girl it up.”
Knitting: Rug
Use either 180 yards/meters of bulky yarn, or double that amount using 2 strands of worsted held together.
Knitting: Costume
It is written for three different yarn thicknesses, so you can choose just about any yarn you would like to work with, from medium worsted to super bulky. The baby-modeled one is worsted, and the bumpy textured one is the well-loved Lion Brand Homespun.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Very easy first project, sure to impress with hand dyed thick thin yarn. Pattern comes with a link to purchase the yarn from the hand dyer.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Entirely knit, unlike some patterns that require knowledge of crochet to make the ears.
Knitting: Soakers
A beautiful way to cover those plastic diapers when taking pictures of baby, or for daily wear.
Knitting: Stocking
This is intended ONLY for use as a photo prop, because the long tail could become wrapped around baby’s neck.
Knitting: Hats - Other
The blue one was Country Loom yarn by Loops & Threads, and the hot pink one was one strand of worsted (medium) weight with one strand of Soft Boucle by Bernat.
Knitting: Costume

There are lots of options for yarns. Hand spun with a carry along fingering weight, or super bulky. I love the look with the popcorn yarn!
