This pattern is the free shop pattern for Knitorious in St. Louis celebrating the Summer’s Last Blast Yarn Crawl, 2018.

This cowl is knit in the round on 24” circular needles using a long color repeat sock weight yarn and short rows. Gauge is not crucial, but too tight and it stands up rather than drapes. I used one skein of sock yarn for the pictured cowl.

This pattern is the one I used to teach a class in ear-flap hat construction and color work at Knitorious. Varying yarn and needle size from worsted to DK will give you smaller sizing.
