Knitting: Cardigan
When I was working on the adult version of this cardigan, I felt strongly that I would work a similar cardigan for the little ones.
Knitting: Cardigan
My testers worked the most amazing wrap-overs. List of testers at the bottom of these notes.
Knitting: Pullover, Tee
The winter is long in Scandinavia, and when I purchased this yarn in the shades of the sea and the sand, it was a winter-day in Copenhagen - with glacial winds and grey weather from morning to evening. I had started to dream about summer and wanted to work a magical summer-top.
Knitting: Tee, Sleeveless Top
Please note that this pattern includes instructions for a sleeve-less tank, as well as for a short-sleeved tee.
Knitting: Pullover
At the beginning of the year, I designed my Happy New Hat, and as I liked so much the combination of the leaves and roses it came naturally to work a sweater following up the theme.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
In the beginning of the year, I have enjoyed designing and knitting the Happy New Hat. It’s so fun working the Fair Isle, every round make me want to work one more, and one more…
Knitting: Pullover
The Token of love sweater puts together so many things that I love about knitting: beautiful lace, gorgeous cables, classic moss-sts, shaped shoulders, set-in sleeves, a slight A-line shape (or not, as you also may work it without shaping).
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
The set consists of a beanie and a pair of fingerless gloves.
Knitting: Skirt, Pants, Baby Blanket
This pattern consists of 3 items: a baby blanket, a pair of leggings and a little skirt.
Knitting: Cardigan
If you wonder about the name I chose for this cardigan, I chose it as a memory of an amazing trip to Sicily many, many years back.
Knitting: Cardigan
A new month, and the first month of the autumn (in the northern hemisphere) and the head is full of ideas and projects to start during the cozy indoor months to come. This is the first pattern I release this autumn.
Knitting: Tee
Finally spring is here and I managed to take modelled pictures in the sun, without freezing too much! And I have a lovely BLUE top to use for many months ahead. I look especially much forward to using it with a skirt or a pair of baggy linen trousers in white.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
My dear friend, Bek, has put up a KAL for this shawl in my group. It would be lovely if you join us there:
Knitting: Cardigan
The textured pattern of the lower body is like a carpet of small flowers! And that’s what I find in the nature right now.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Buongiorno, good morning, hello to spring and summer that is around the corner on the northern hemisphere:)
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
When I started working on my Sandkorn hat (Sandkorn = grains of sand), I just couldn’t stop!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
This tested set consists of a beanie and a pair of fingerless mitts. List of testers is found below the notes.
Knitting: Dress
This cute little dress is so fun to work! With its lovely yoke embellished with different stitch-patterns, its buttoned upper back (for fast dressing), its A-line shaping of the lower body and gorgeous patterned hem it will become a lovely addition to the wardrobe.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater was inspired by the lovely stitch-pattern used for my tested pattern:
Knitting: Vest
Most often I find inspiration for my designs when I am out in the nature, hiking in the forest or along the seaside.
Knitting: Pullover
My daughter is grown-up by now, but I remember the feeling I had after every summer during her childhood that she had grown SO much during the past months and that her clothes hardly fit any longer..
Knitting: Cardigan
When I had released my https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spring-leaf-card...,
Knitting: Cardigan
Last summer I received the most surprising and lovely parcel from a dear Ravelry-friend, Carmen. The unexpected gift contained lots of lovely treasures, including 8 balls of the softest alpaca-yarn.
Knitting: Cardigan
I designed a little cardigan with lots of lace for the special days in a baby/toddlers life. Maybe for a name-giving day, the first 3 months, mums, dads or grannys birthday….
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
December 2021: I hope that you find the timing of this hat-pattern perfect:)
Knitting: Pullover
I think that knitting (and handcrafting) is a bit like working from a raw diamond; you start with a piece of beautiful material and with your skills and techniques you work it into something refined and lovely.
Knitting: Cardigan
When we spent a lovely day in Copenhagen together, my daughter, Dea, chose the colours for this cardigan:)
Knitting: Cardigan
I was so certain I had 7 wooden buttons for this cardigan! When the buttonhole-band was finished I detected that there was only 6… Fortunately, I had an acorn button in my drawer – hence the name of my cardigan. And happily, I found that with the mix of sts it was great to mix the buttons as well
Knitting: Pullover
I love leaves! I’m passionate about them, in the nature as well as on knits. So here’s one more item including one of my favourite patterns!
Knitting: Tee
I hadn’t found a name yet for my new design. In the early morning the day of the photo-shoot, I woke up to the lovely sound of silent rain falling. I opened up my window as much as I could and stood there for a long time, enjoying the smell of earth and the silent rain falling. I knew that along with me trees, shrubs, plants and animals would f...
Knitting: Pullover
For a long time I have wanted to make a basic child pullover for new knitters (and also for the more experienced ones that want a fast project with a nice result).
Knitting: Cardigan
My new design is the classic cardigan I want to bring along wherever I go; starting from my humble housing heading towards one of the fascinating and beautiful castles of southern Sweden…
Knitting: Cardigan
This cute, little cardigan is a reminder of spring - being just around the corner! With its small leaves and trellis patterns it recalls the wonders of le petit jardin (and big gardens, parks, forests…) and everything we have in front of us in the coming months. (Well, I speak about the northern hemisphere..).
Knitting: Cardigan
I have been tumbling with the dream of a saddle-shouldered, classic cardigan for so long. The patterns of my hat, Twigs of Winter, gave me the inspiration, as I knew that these were the perfect patterns to use for my dreamy cardigan.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Winter is here, and all the beautifully coloured leaves of the trees have fallen. Suddenly I see the structures of each bush and tree so clearly; the evergreens and the buxus are dominating, but looking closer there are so many lovely branches and twigs to admire. These are the inspiration behind my new hat.
Knitting: Pullover
The winter hasn’t arrived yet, but I know already that this will be one of my most worn pullovers over the next months!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
One of the great joys of being a Raveler is meeting so many generous, kind, gifted, lovely people. I love it when someone friends me! Sometimes we only look at eachother projects with mutual admiration, sometimes we chat about knitting, and sometimes the knitting chat grows into knowing eachother better.
Knitting: Vest, Bonnet
This adorable little set is inspired from my https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/petals-and-pearl.... Wouldn’t it be cute with a set for mother/grandmother/friend and baby:)
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
I love it when I have 1 full skein of a gorgeous yarn, and my thougts start to spin around: how to make as much out of this as possible?
Knitting: Cardigan
This cozy cardigan is designed to be worn whenever you feel like relaxing. It is intended to be generous, warming and comforting. Almost like a hug<3.
Knitting: Cardigan
This set for the smallest ones consists of a blanket and a cardigan. The lace-pattern was inspired from my latest summer-top design for adults: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seven-senses.
Knitting: Tee
200 designs, I can’t believe it! The years have passed so quickly, I have had so much fun - and the knitting needles have not rested:)
Knitting: Dress
This teenie-weenie dress is inspired from my latest summer-top: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bisquit-2:
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I’m defintely not a hat-“model”, (nor a “model” by any means), but I wanted to share with you the loveliness of the forest this April day.
Knitting: Cardigan
Upon request I have transformed the Old Shale patterns to suit worsted weight yarns. This is the pattern for all of you who wants a faster knit, and/or a thicker garment. This is a really fast knit:)
Knitting: Tee
Times are so difficult for all of us right now, and I was a little worried that it wouldn’t be the best time for releasing my new pattern.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
The floral centre of this pattern was tested a while back on my Happy Floral Cushion:
Knitting: Pullover
The lace-pattern used for this sweater reminds me of waves or sea-shells (la coquille - meaning “the seashell”). As I find this lace-pattern so lovely (and FUN to work) I wanted to use it again.
Knitting: Pullover
This last design of the year is dedicated to a dear Ravelry friend, yarnymama. She has requested a classic boys sweater - and here it is:) As useful for boys as for girls.
Knitting: Cardigan
It’s such a grey day! I do hope you have some sun (or snow) wherever you are, but right here it’s just grey, grey, grey….
Knitting: Pullover
There is also a hat to match the sweater: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fox-family-hat
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
By wearing my new hat I want the sentiment of summer and autumn to endure through the hard months of winter. The flowers and leaves will give me a good reminder of the lovely summers behind, and the new summers to come.
Knitting: Cowl
While my testers were knitting my shawl “Moon at Midnight” I was working on this cowl… It is time to gear up the autumn wardrobe, so here it is:)
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Moon at midnight, and I cannot sleep; that’s the best moment for being creative and sketch for new designs:)
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
Petit cadeau. It is mitten time, and also the time to start knitting gifts.
Knitting: Cardigan
Lille Anemone was probably one of the last designs that I could photo-shoot outdoors this season! I worked it in a sunny color, to remind me that we in a few months time can expect the sun to shine on our faces again:) In the meantime I will appreciate listening to the rain, knitting…
Knitting: Cardigan, Onesies, Legwarmers, Bonnet
The “Wee baby set” is my latest addition to the collection of designs that I make for babies and children. This time it is the smallest ones that I had in mind. This set of cardigan, romper, bonnet and legwarmers is designed to be as comfortable as cute. The broderie anglaise lace-pattern embellishes the whole set.
Knitting: Pullover
I love a day in the forest! I put on my hiking shoes, and a nice pullover, I spend hours walking, listening to the birds, admiring the nature, the flowers and the leaves…. After a day in the forest I return to the city with new energy; and lots of new knitting ideas:)
Knitting: Pullover
Two dreams came true: finding the perfect yarn for working this design that had been in the back of my designer-brain for so long, AND having the possibility of visiting the mountains, valleys and fjords of my native country. IAll pictures were taken by my daughter in Jotunheimen, Norway. When the pattern was created a third dream came true; th...
Knitting: Cardigan
The “Souvenir of summer”-cardigan is worked from yarn I brought home from my vacation in Norway earlier this summer. The windling and beautiful roads brought me through the mountains of Jotunheimen to the small village, Sogndal, situated in Sognefjorden (the longest fjord of Norway). There I found a lovely little yarn-shop, and I couldn’t resis...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
I wanted to use the lovely stitch-patterns from my Scrapbook cardigans for this lovely baby blanket.
Knitting: Pullover
Knitting for someone is really special. It’s a way of showing love, care and appreciation. I love the idea of knitting for someone small, a lovely garment that will give warmth and comfort and the feeling of being loved and comforted and cared for.
Knitting: Cardigan
It was when I worked my child cardigan: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/scrap-book-cardigan that I realized that this design would be awesome in an adult version.
Knitting: Cardigan
With inspiration from scrap-booking where you put different pieces together for a pleasent harmony, I worked this child cardigan using different stitch-patterns. Along the way I was thinking that this would be the perfect bridesmaids cardigan, or a cardigan for special occasions.. And I really enjoyed working it, it was great fun to knit the di...

If felt like a natural flow to work an adult version of my baby/toddler cardigan Wish and Hope: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wish-and-hope.
Knitting: Cardigan
Wish and Hope is the name that I choose for my new baby/child cardigan. At the beginning of each new year I think more deliberately upon the wishes and hopes I have for the life in front of me and the year to come. The wishes and hopes are always the same; that everything growing (babies, children, leaves, flowers, animal and human….) will grow...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Yours or mine: we are mother and daughter in the house, meaning that at winter-time we cannot be entirely sure that a favorite hat is there when you look for it:)) It will be interesting to see what happens with this one.

Sometimes I feel the need to make something truly feminine and romantic:) The beautiful character Tamouna in Kéthévane Davrichewys novel La mer noire gave me inspiration to create a cardigan light as a feather with lots of romance and femininity worked in every stitch.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
The day I visited Mijas* (see bottom of my note) I was totally taken back by the color of the sky. I was standing in a small cobblestone square surrounded by whitewashed houses, gazing towards the ocean. The sky had put on the palest color of blue, shaded by turquouise and white, The village was so lovely, a beautiful place on earth. With the i...

The leaves of the ivy outside my windows are frozen. In the evening the floor gets really cold. January calls for making a pretty pair of socks to add some cosiness and warmth:))
Knitting: Gloves, Beanie, Toque
When I was working this pretty set of gloves and hat in white my thoughts went back a long way; remembering the feeling of breaking the thin ice of the first puddles of the season, on my way to school with my sisters and friends. All of a sudden the rainy days were be...
Knitting: Scarf, Cowl
Winter came to the southern part of Sweden today! After months of gails and rain we finally had lots of lovely snow! I brought my Guapa cowl out of the cupboard - it was a joy to wrap into it. Brought to you for free for a while…. please heart it if you like it:))
Knitting: Pullover
When we were looking around in the nearby area to find the perfect place to photo-shoot my newest design we found the most wonderful roses in the close-by park. Clusters of pale pink and almost white roses arched above the lawn, sending out a discrete, oldfashioned scent. Bursting of classic beauty! I wish I could have given you the name of the...
Knitting: Baby Blanket
I worked this newborn blanket to a dear friend who is expecting her 4th child. The dolls blanket is made for her nearly 4 year old daughter - who most certainly will be treating her doll as a baby, as well.
Knitting: Throw
I love patchworks!! When one of my blankets was outdated (due to all family members, including dogs, fighting over it:)), I wanted to replace it by a patchwork. Being a lousy seamstress, I went for a seamless, knitted version.
Knitting: Tee
I made this top for the occasions (and they are quite a few!) when I want something fluide to wear that shows off some bare skin, without having to fit myself into something clingy, with bare shoulders and deep neck-lines. Mind you, I love to wear those tops, too - but once in a while I want to wear something different.
Knitting: Cowl
It is a known story that in the year of 1857 the 16 year old shepherd girl, Marit from Selbu (in Norway) and her sisters came to church wearing black-and-white mittens in stranded knitting - with stars (8-petal roses as we call them) and patterned all over. The mittens made a great stir! and this was the upstart of the tradition of Selbu-knitti...
Knitting: Pullover
To celebrate a fresh start to the new year I wanted to make myself something special, soft and romantic. My “Private Collection” contains lots of the elements I love about knitting: lace, a gorgeous wool, a feminine style, a fun construction, raglan-shaping, a great result without being too complicated, and also the A-line shape which is a true...
Knitting: Pullover
This pattern has been tested by a wonderful group of test-knitters. See more belowThe soft, feminine and comfortable A-line of this tunic/pullover will make me smile my way into autumn and winter:)
Knitting: Pullover
The Squirrel Tree top has been one of my great favorites this summer! I love knitting outdoors and as this summer has been exceptionally hot in Scandinavia I had to find myself a Place in the shadow where I could work.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Lovestory is the name that I picked for my new lace-patterned, romantic and flattering summer-top. It came quite naturally, as I worked it in one of my favorite colors for summer; Deep ocean blue. I kept thinking of how important the ocean is to me; about all the walks at the beach admiring the sea at every kind of weather, from morning to late...
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Spring is here, nature is in full bloom - every morning I go out it is like visiting a vernissage; new flowers and leaves have sprung out during the night. It is all there for us to admire and enjoy. As the winters are long and grey in my part of the world I tend to forget how intense and magnificient it is to enter the scene of spring every ye...
Knitting: Pullover
I used to live in France for several years during the 90ties. I think those years made a great impact on me; living in another country with a different culture made me see things with fresh eyes. And best of all: my daughter is “made in France”! My french is far from perfect, but french words keep popping up in my mind.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I got the idea for this shawl on Christmas Eve, and it was almost a physical pain not being able to start working on it straight away! When I finally had the possibility to get started I could not stop - as it was such a pleasure to see the evolving of the shawl. And the second shawl made a bit bigger….
Knitting: Cardigan
When I walk my dog along the beach early in the morning the bay is often cloudy. If the weather is fine, with not too much wind, our walk tends to stretch out in time, and as I am walking the sun starts to break its way through the clouds, coloring the sky and the ocean in all possible shades of blue, grey, green…. This beautiful moment is what...
Knitting: Cowl, Fingerless Gloves
It was not very hard finding inspiration for this leaf-pattern. Everywhere I go there are autumn leaves in all possible shapes and colors. In a month or two they might be covered by snow - knowing this makes me look at, and admire the beauty of natures leaves even more. I wanted to capture lots and lots of leaves in one pattern, without making...

Colorful trees, chilly mornings, dark nights - autumn is here at full speed. I do not mind leaving summer behind - the change is invigorating, and also means that I can wear all those lovely, cabled sweaters again:) And making new ones….

Raspberries and summer! A lovely top to wear! I really do not want the summer, or the raspberries to end….
Knitting: Scarf
Salty Waves is an all-season scarf; warm enough to protect your neck in winter, cool enough to be worn at breezy summerevenings. I chose the colors for this scarf quite deliberately as I wanted to recall the feeling of my childhood summers, watching the ever changing sea from my grandparent’s summerhouse on a tiny island in Norway. During the s...
Knitting: Cardigan
Perfect fit for this lovely tailored cardigan, made with wool in a beautiful shade chosen by my sweet niece Ingrid, of 9 years. For a long time I had wanted to make myself a tailored cardigan based on a favorite jacket. And when I want to make myself something tailored it has to be knitted, as I’m such a lousy seamstress!

The Selma Lace top has all the attributes to be a true favourite for a girly, feminine baby girl/toddler this summer!
Knitting: Pullover
I have always been a great fan of blue and white porcelaine. One morning I took a close look at my breakfast cup, and thought I would like to make a pullover based on the lattice-border and rose-leaves pattern of my beloved breakfast china.
Knitting: Pullover
I could easily end up with a wardrobe full of grey pullovers! But in this case I wanted to show off the simple sophisticated details of this sweet henley by using a contrasting color. The result is a figure-flattering, soft and feminine pullover with lots of charming integraty. I found that the contrasting sleeves, pockets and button-band reall...
Knitting: Scarf
My Happy Waves scarf is made of stash yarn - as I cannot always justify buying new yarn…. The colors are maybe a bit bolder and out of my normal color-zone than I usually work and wear - but as the work grew on the needles I found it more and more appealing.
Knitting: Pullover

This sweet little henley carries it’s name “Hidden Star” as there is a textured star almost hidden between the unusual cable-pattern. And , of course, the teddy in the pictures is my “Hidden Star” - a well worn treasure since childhood. I made the sweater thinking about the childs comfort, and what kind of sweater a small child would like to we...
Knitting: Vest
I think this pattern was born already with my genes. Generations of ancestors have been wearing Norwegian-patterned garments, and from my childhood I was used to wear Norwegian-patterned sweaters. Knitting: Mittens

Boxy, comfortable and boyfriendish! Yet soft, with a feminine touch and elegant enough to be seen in outside your livingroom!
Knitting: Cardigan
I wanted to make a cardigan to a gorgeous little girl I know far up in the north of Norway. She is the third child after 2 lovely boys, and I wanted to make a very girly and feminine little cardigan for her.
Knitting: Pullover
This pullover was a challenge to me as a designer! Not that it is difficult in any way - it’s more that it contrasts with my normal field of designs. This time I really wanted to make something loose-fitting and in bolder colors. When working it I came to think about a lighthouse and the fascinating contrasts between light and shadow. I realize...

Yes - I know! This is a crazy little hat! But it’s my answer to sustainable knitting! I found lots of scraps and bits of wool in my stash and wanted to make a hat! Knitting: Pullover
Design: I’ll be well prepared for snow and gails in this lovely Aran-sweater. As I detest cold winds that find the way up my back I made the ribbing longer on the back than on the front. The ribbing makes a curved line that adds a feminine and soft touch. Lovely cables with some lace and knots embellishes the front as well as the sleeves.
Knitting: Poncho, Fingerless Gloves
I love roses so much! In my climate the season for roses is so short, and all winter long I look forward to the warm season to come when I can start growing, smelling, picking and admire roses again. I made this cute set of cape and fingerless mittens to give me a reminder of the beautiful summerseason!
Knitting: Cardigan
This cardi is like a cloud! Soft, feminine, romantic. So easy to wear. It is as beautiful in the back as in the front - with it’s lace-patterned yoke, lace-edgings and buttonbands, it’s ribbed waist that is so flattering. Another sophisticated detail is that sleeves lace-edges are just opposite the upper waist-rib - this makes a beautiful effec...
Knitting: Pullover
This Pullover reminds me about La Rochelle, - the beautiful seaside town at the French Atlantic coast - with its blue sky and ocean, the white buildings in town, the white sails in the marina.
Knitting: Dress
This sweet and lovely little girl’s dress has got it’s inspiration from the cabled yoke used in my “Grey Impression” cardi. 3 cables worked in a rounded yoke that fits beautifully around the neck and shoulders.
