Knitting: Scarf
“This easy-knit scarf is shaped at the forehead with short rows (no wrapping) so it stays comfortably in place. Knit loosely in garter stitch, it is plenty long enough to wrap around your neck. You can finish it with a beaded crochet edging, if desired.
Knitting: Cardigan
A classic cardigan in stockinette stitch with garter stitch borders. Instructions provided for worsted and chunky weight yarns.
Knitting: Pullover
An easy-knit pullover featuring a geometric design in stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch; the sleeves are picked up at the armhole edge and knit down to the cuff.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
Pattern # EK716. Includes instructions using sport weight yarn as well. Sport weight uses US 3 & US 5 needles at gauge of 24 sts and 30 rows = 4” in stockinette st. Sport weight yardage range is 775 to 1180.
Knitting: Pullover
Pattern is also written for heavy worsted weight yarn. The gauge is 16 sts and 20 rows over 4” in stockinette st. The recommended needle is size 10, and the yardage range is 975 to 1430 yards.
Crochet: Vest
This long, 3-button tunic vest is worked sideways in a variation of half double crochet stitch. Great for everyday or evening wear.
Knitting: Cardigan
As always, this Oat Couture pattern includes cable charts, and diagrams of the sweater pieces. This is a simple drop-shoulder cardigan sweater with minimal shaping, making it perfect for a knitter who wants to either knit their first Aran sweater, or would like to knit a simple, easy Aran that doesn’t require immense amounts of concentration.

This is fun to make, each piece on the bias (2 front pieces, 2 back pieces) but you have to pay attention to get the shaping right. It looks great with hand dyed yarn, the little lines of color really emphasize the bias. The ribbing trim is nice too, with a twist cable.
