Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Mosaic Knitting is a great way to make your knitting look really intricate with a simple technique. I call it “Cheater Colorwork” because it looks like Fair-Isle knitting without having to learn how to knit with two colors at once. All you have to know is how to knit, sometimes purl, and slip stitches. The ends of this shawl use Mosaic Knitting...
Knitting: Cowl
I think Möbius strips are so interesting, so I wanted to create a knitted piece with one. What I came up with is something that can be used either around the neck as a scarf or stretched across the shoulders as a capelet.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a nice, quick project for any skill level, as it is knit in the round with a couple of striped pattern rows and has no decreases.
Knitting: Stocking
This should go without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway: Do not leave babies unattended in this hat. It is meant purely as a photography prop, not a functional, everyday hat to keep them warm.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This blanket is made up of 36 mitered squares. Most of them are connected by picking up stitches on others that you’ve made, but there is a small amount of sewing required to connect the last ones that are worked.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This is a pattern that was inspired by Dr. Seuss. I designed it for my cousin who was doing a Dr. Seuss themed nursery.

Knitting: Slippers
I created this pattern based on another pair of hand-knit slippers that I already owned. I may not have gotten them exactly the same, but they are pretty close. They make a nice slipper for me to wear around the house when it’s chillier out.
Crochet: Baby Blanket
Ever since I figured out this pattern of my great-great-grandmother’s, I had the idea for this baby blanket in my head. One of the first things I did when I found out I was pregnant was go out and buy yarn for it. I wanted to make a blanket for my baby, but I didn’t want to wait to find out if it was a boy or a girl. The double sided pattern al...
Crochet: Throw
This was a pattern of my grandmother’s that my dad found vaguely written out on a piece of paper tucked away in an old writing desk. He realized it was the pattern for an old afghan that she had made for him when he was a boy. By looking at the afghan and decoding the pattern, I was able to figure out how it was done.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This is the 1st pattern that I made, so it is a pretty simple one. The entire thing is knit in the round, and if you so chose, there are no seams to be sewn. I used two different colors held together for the main and contrasting colors to get an interesting effect with the main color showing through the fuzzy yarn.
