Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Serenus is the Latin word from which serene is derived, and translates to clear, cloudless or untroubled. This pattern is exactly that: a straightforward pattern designed to be worked up in front of the TV or while chatting with friends at the end of a long day. The simple stepped edges and picot cast off create a point of interest while the ga...

This itty bitty daisy can be worked up in moments. You can try using different thicknesses of yarns and different hooks to create different sized and different looking flowers.
Crochet: Containers
These three nesting bowls fit perfectly inside one another, and are both practical and decorative.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Wickerwork is worked in a simple set of alternate rows of 2x2 rib and knitted and slipped stitches, making it perfect for variegated colourways, helping to break up any pooling and let the colours of the skein really shine. The pattern is reminiscent of wickerwork, a form of furniture making that was used in Ancient Egypt, Persia and Rome, righ...

In Greek mythology, the Oreads were nymphs that were thought to inhabit mountains. They were associated with Artemis, goddess of the hunt (amongst other things), as she tended to favour mountains and rocky precipes’ for her hunting grounds. This beanie is knitted in the round, from the crown down, making it easy to knit to the perfect length ev...

Cyrene’s Vines is a beautifully stylish pattern, designed in the luxurious Mardi yarn. The lace columns give interest to the pattern without being too complex, making a very elegant piece.
Knitting: Cowl
Under the Bough is a cowl/snood designed to wear on those days where you need a little something around your neck, but your average cowl, shawl, snood or scarf is just too heavy. Knitted in a lace weight yarn, with a leafy lace pattern repeat that covers 24 stitches and 12 rows, Under the Bough is lightweight, airy, and fits easily in your hand...

Lyn Walsh, the brain behind fibre2go, is a wonderful woman. If you’ve never met her, then I encourage you to catch her at a fibre event for a natter or one of her amazing hugs. Lyn is a strikingly creative and talented woman, and I relished the chance to work with her after admiring her work for so long.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Galaxy Beanie is a fairly tight knit, making it lovely and snug, and very warm. The decrease pattern on the crown creates a double armed spiral, much like that of a double armed spiral galaxy, which it is named after. The 1x1 rib makes the sizing fairly flexible, and gives the beanie a good grip on your noggin.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Beanies are great, they keep you warm and knit up oh so quickly. The latter makes them great as presents, but human heads come in such different sizes. My own head is small for an adult, my spouse’s head is really rather large (we often comment about their poor mother), and the variety in head size can make knitting a beanie a bit of a gamble. ...

Syncopation, in music, refers to a disruption in a regular rhythm, something off-beat that somehow works. With my love of texture and Harnie Hoolie’s sinfully delicious yarn, this design combines some of our best elements to create a delightfully off-beat shawl that is gloriously simple to knit in yarn that flows through your hands like a dream.
Knitting: Cowl
The Caterpillar Cowl is an adorable and snug cowl that comes in two sizes; a single wrap, and a double wrap. Using the ever popular linen stitch, broken up by stocking stitch, this pattern is perfect for semi solids and to help break up colour pooling.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Celaena is the first shawl in this series, inspired by the Throne of Glass book series by Sarah J Maas. This particular design is inspired by the red and black dress that Celaena wears to her meeting with Archer in chapter ten of book two, Crown of Midnight. There is also a deleted chapter than can be found online, in which Celaena and Nehemia ...

Mikaela is a fun scarf that comes in two sizes, a shorter scarf, to sit once around your neck, or a longer scarf to wrap around. It is knitted on the bias, to create a diagonal leaning cable. Garter panels create nice texture, and an angular zig-zag with the cables.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
I designed this pattern for my spouse, with the idea that when they are having a bad day, they can wrap themselves up in a snuggly secure wrap.
Knitting: Scarf
This cute little scarf is nice a lightweight scarf, ideal for spring and autumn, or wrapped multiple times around the neck for those colder days. The lace motif at each end adds a nice point of interest.
Knitting: Cowl
This scarf is a simple and easy pattern, great for knitting in front of the tv, or when you are out and about. It is worked in garter stitch and simple lace panels, on the bias, giving it a fun and interesting look. It uses a provisional cast on and garter kitchener stitch to make an invisible seam. It is large enough to be wrapped around your ...
