Obsession is a modified triangle shaped shawl that is worked from wide to narrow. You will begin with the bottom lace border, then transition to the main seed stitch body while continuing to carry the lace pattern up one side of the shawl. You will slowly decrease stitches until you end up with just a tiny bit of lace at the tip.

I love knitting with mini-skeins. So for my first pattern in 2021, I’m going back to the basics. This pattern is a spin-off of my Elevation Series, with similar stitch patterns, but in a new wilder shawl shape. Let’s try to put the Wild Ride of 2020 behind us and move on to a happier 2021.

A group of dyers, designers, and makers put together a pop-up shop for World Wide Knit in Public Day in my local area and I was lucky enough to be able to participate. This pattern is the result. I designed it to work with all the yarns available at the event so shoppers could mix an match colors to their heart’s content.

This pattern uses 10 mini skeins, each about 90 yards / 82 meters in fingering weight yarn. The sample was knit with 2 packs of Stroll Mini Skeins (5 minis in each pack). But any 10 mini skeins will work, giving you unlimited ability to play with color.
