This pattern was written for the “The Hobbit Sock Month” from “Atelier Het Wolbeest”. I love Tolkien and have since I was a teenager. And I think the movies were done very well. I have lost count of how many times I watched both trilogies.

For 10 grams fingering sockyarn version:

Materials:4-ply sockyarn (75% wool, 25% Nylon, 420 meters / 100 grams. (for my example (size L) I used about 79 grams of Het Wolbeest Super Sock BFL (75% sw BFL – 25% nylon, 425 mtr/100 grams) in the colour Dr. Finkelstein from the “het Wolbeest 2021 Tim Burton’s 13 nights till Halloween Yarn Calendar.).

I used 2 different yarns. A MC yarn in green/white for the sock (a 100 grams regular skein of fingering yarn 420 mtrs per 100 grams) and a cc yarn in red for the nupps (a 20 grams miniskein of fingering yarn 420 mtrs per 100 grams)

This pattern was written for a KAL in the “Het Wolbeest” group on Ravelry. The idea was that a pattern was needed that was easy enough for beginners, but interesting enough for advanced sock knitters as well. A kind of one pattern fits all.

Een heerlijk zomers sokje met kantwerk en een apart boordje om het net even dat beetje extra te geven! Je breit de sok vanaf de teen omhoog.
