Spring is in the air!

This design was inspired by the vintage knitted toys of the early 20th Century. An Amigurumi that appears knitted; instead uses a rare crochet stitch - the waistcoat stitch. An one-of-a-kind design that is unique from your common crochet softies.

A work colleague asked me to crochet her a little beanie for her first-born nephew named Benjamin. As he was born at the beginning of winter, I made this size to fit him up to 3 months.

The Blathnáid Bonnet is inspired by those beautiful intricate vintage crochet hats worn in the early 20th Century. This is a modern version of Irish Lace using regular light worsted yarn.

This is my first published pattern. The Hattie is in honour of all the hookers who taught me how to crochet.
