Yarn is held double for aran weight. Quick knit with texture and continued ribbing from the 2 x 2 ribbed brim to top of crown. The use of broken ribbing around the body of the hat adds some interesting texture. The hat is squishy and the fabric is not stiff. You could go up a needle size if you are a tight knitter.
