This scarf knits quickly, and ends up pretty thick and structured -- it keeps noses and ears snug and warm without falling down. If a less “stiff” scarf is desired, the pattern can be knit loosely with a larger needle size or the number of cast-on stitches can be increased in increments of four stitches.
