Knitting: Poncho
For Have a Ball Fall Crawl 2024, I had a last-minute idea for a new pattern, and Swirly Squirrels was born. Thankfully, Teri, my amazing tester, whipped it up in no time at all. There are three ways to wear this, which I didn’t even know would be the case until it was finished, and Teri was modeling it. The pattern may look intimidating, but th...

Versatility describes this wrap that can change from shawl to wrap to sweater with just a little seaming. Because of the seaming options, this one size truly fits most adults. Gauge is important, so we always recommend you swatch!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
For Local Yarn Store (LYS) Day this year, I designed Love Your Squirrel (LYS), a triangular shawl with texture and color. Since you are only working one color per row, the knitting is pretty easy.

4.15.23 update - ERRATA: Thank you to knitter Pat Corr who found an error in section 2. Rows 167 and 169 should repeat Row 13 instead of 11.
Knitting: Cowl
My love for Berroco Ultra Alpaca Natural (worsted) was amplified by the addition of the new Ultra Alpaca Chunky Natural. I felt the need for a cowl and matching hat, so I got to work. My suggestion is to knit the hat first, then use the leftovers in the cowl. The hat takes less than one skein, while the cowl takes a little more than two.

The mystery is over, as all the sections have been released. UN-Tiny Textures is available and ready for knitting!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This is designed for Local Yarn Store Day 2022. I am so excited to partner with Baah Yarn on this LYS Day project.
Knitting: Cowl
I’ve loved the hat pattern Carbon Copied to the Max for several years and recently decided it needed a matching cowl. So with Sarah Keller’s permission, I designed the Carbon Copied Cowl. The design mimics the worsted weight version of the hat in every way - gauge, yarn usage, patterning, and the number of section repeats.

Four colors, a couple stitch patterns, some stripes, and you’ve got Peculiar Plaid.
Crochet: Cowl
This fingering weight cowl is so easy for even a beginner crocheter. Almost all single crochets, accented by a decorative “bird foot”, you will fly through this pattern and be ready to make more in no time.
Knitting: Cowl
If you want a cowl with options, this is the one. Sweet Cami helped design this cowl that can be done in either brioche (intermediate level) or mosaic (beyond beginner level) - instructions for BOTH are included in the pattern. Cami’s Cowl is knit in the round, and there is a formula in the pattern for choosing your size. It can’t get any easie...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Here is a summer addition to the Fling Flang Family. Just two skeins of Mirasol Usun is all you need to knit this squishy, drapey, summer wrap. Usun, a lightweight, chainette cotton yarn, is perfect for a summer to keep the chill off your shoulders in the air conditioning or wear as a scarf out in the sun. The fabric is very breathable to keep ...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Six yarn shop owners came together to design a gorgeous shawl inspired by some of the elements of spring. If you purchase yarn for this KAL from any of the following yarn shops, you will receive a code to download the pattern free. The virtual KAL begins May 21, 2021.
Knitting: Cowl
When I received this new yarn, I immediately thought I had to design a gradient cowl that pretty much any knitter could handle. The yarn itself starts with all 6 plies in the same color, giving you a solid. Each consecutive mini ball removes a ply of the original color and adds a ply of the ending color, creating a perfect and even gradation of...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Most of this pattern was written during a global pandemic. My relationship with this design is love/hate after going through dozens of samples and swatches and yarns and designs before I finally settled on what you are about to knit. During the process, there was quite a bit of flinging of yarn. I also flang a few expletives. When the design fi...

UPDATE: The mystery has been revealed, and the pattern is published in its entirety. Please enjoy!
Knitting: Cowl
Designed originally for 2019 West Michigan Yarn Quest. The pattern has the option for a scarf or cowl and includes different finishing options as well.
Knitting: Scarf
This is the two color version of the original S Curve scarf. You will need 1-100g skein of the solid Herriot Fine and 2-100g skeins of the Huasco Sock Hand Painted. Almost any fingering weight yarn will work, as long as the gauge is correct. If you would like to make the scarf longer, simply add extra rows of the solid stripes in multiples of 2...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl can be knitted in two different gauges which both wear beautifully. Both shawls were knit with a size 6 needle, but please use whatever needle gets you the gauge you choose. The shawl is knit flat but on a bias, so a recommended needle length is 24” or longer. Gauge does matter, as it affects the size of your shawl, as well as your y...
