Crochet: Scarf
I made this monstrosity to use up extra yarn from another project. It looks like you’re wearing a pair of pants from the 70s around your neck, but it’s cozy and massive! And of course you can change the colors to whatever you want.

By working one color from the inside of the whirl cake and one color from the outside, this scarf works up in a fun zig-zag design, ending with a solid block of color where the two meet.

My 10 year-old son told me he wanted a blanket that had a “modern aesthetic” look, which is apparently a thing on TikTok. Of course, I’m too ancient to know what this means, so he designed this blanket himself. He drew a sketch, and I figured out how to make it happen.

I made this hat for my kids and all their friends in the neighborhood. It works up quickly, and it fits a variety of head sizes. For bigger heads (including adults), it fits like a beanie. For smaller heads, it fits like a cute slouch.
