With summer comes the need to get outside more. All that needs to come with me is my phone and a water bottle. This project allows me to travel light and cures cabin fever.
Knitting: Tee
Designed for my daughter using our favourite stitch pattern. This crop top is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armholes, then divided to work front and back separately in rows. The shoulders are then seamed and stitches are picked up around arm openings to knit sleeves in short rows with a seafoam stitch trim. Tutorials available.

This shawl was inspired by the view when flying over the Rocky Mountains from our home in Calgary Alberta to vacation in British Columbia. Even in the month of May we see pockets of snow on the mountain tops.

Grass gradually changes to sand then to ocean. Make this 3 colour towel with an absorbent, moisture wicking, machine washable fibre such as cotton. Instructions given for three different types of yarn: a bulky #5, a medium #4 or a light weight #3 yarn.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This bikini style halter top has practical pockets to hold necessities like money, a credit card or a room key. Ties at the back and neck makes the fit forgiving, and the double layer for the pocket provides extra coverage for the nipples. The pocket could also be used for bra pads or prosthetic inserts.

This shirt is designed to have a comfortable loose fit with 2-4” of ease. It is a top down stockinette knit in the round, with colour insets in the yoke to enhance your headshot.

This pattern is a part of my Memories of Down Home series. It replicates the gingham cross stitched tablecloths my grandmother used and the one she gave me for my hope chest.

This fingerless gloves pattern has become more of a recipe than a pattern, that can be used with any yarn and sized for any hand. Use the gauge given on the yarn label. Yardage will vary depending on yarn weight.

This hat was designed for my family, to commemorate their late grandma’s / Auntie Aggie’s two favourite hats. Both versions are knit the same but embellished differently with sequins.

This top down raglan hoodie knits up quick with super bulky yarn. Done seamlessly in the round, then stitches are picked up to knit the hood (or optional collar). Written for Hometown USA yarn, but you can use any CYC#6 super bulky yarn in your home team’s colour. Optionally you can add a stripe of a secondary colour.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Uses the June Bug stitch repeat. Here I give simple instructions to make a rectangular scarf or wrap, as well as how to turn two rectangles into a poncho.
Knitting: Robe
This project is worked from the top down, back and forth on circular needles, starting with the collar. No playing chicken with the yarn, no more need to make sure you have enough yarn left for the lapel and collar, it will be knit all in one piece starting with the collar. The robe will be as long as you choose to make it.
Knitting: Earwarmers
Beginner level pattern worked back and forth with an easy double twist cable(or a single twist for the velvet Plus yarn). Instructions are given for varying the size with different needles and yarns. Meeting gauge is not imperative.
