Knitting: Christmas Stocking
I used beautiful Loopy Mango Dream for these stockings, along with some unique novelty yarns. Because each stocking needs about 1 ½ skeins, and ¼ skein for color work, you can mix and match to curate a collection quite easily.
Knitting: Pullover
I dreamt a little dream… I wanted a simple, top down, set in sleeve, basic tee pattern, a work horse sweater, that I could create and morph into many variations.
Knitting: Cardigan
The Saucy Suri Bomber Jacket merges a yarn trend with a fashion trend into a blend of a style zeitgeist. So wearable, and so now, you’ll want to make 2 or more to compliment your wardrobe!
Knitting: Cardigan
The perfect dressed up cardigan for cool spring and summer nights. I take fingering weight sweaters like this to restaurants, music shows, shopping, everywhere! Because you never know when the temperature will drop or the air conditioning will be too high.

Knitting: Cardigan
Last May, I won beautiful DK weight yarn from the wonderfully talented German dyer, GarnStories. I asked her to surprise me with the color, and when it arrived, I immediately imagined this gorgeous, slouchy cardigan. A quick search on Ravelry did not yield anything that I could even adapt, thus, Uncle Vanya’s cardi was conceived. I quickly real...

Recently, as I drove down the highway, a car with the license plate, “FUNMARY” maneuvered quickly past me. My mind started to wander about what FUNMARY must be like, and what she’d wear. I dreamt up this almost seamless, cleverly constructed, DK weight sweater. It features rickrack ribbing trim, and shawl collar. It has front pockets for your p...
Knitting: Pullover
As a child growing up in Southern California, my family often went skiing at the closest ski resort, Big Bear Mountain. This pullover is reminiscent of those active winter days and nights when our warmest top layer would be a woolen ski sweater. Taking its color cues from the 1970’s of my childhood, and its athletic styling from our current era...
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Asymmetrical shawl with Harry Potter inspired “lightning bolt” shaped lace sections. The step-like construction with a triangular end drapes perfectly around the body. Lace sections are knit between garter sections. A simple garter and lace edging finishes the piece. I-cord edging is knit onto the top.

The pattern is worked with unique color placement down the center back and at the upper sleeve cap. The color pattern, an 8 st/12 row repeat, is easy to memorize and repeat. A slip stitch color pattern means...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
I modified this pattern from a vintage men’s sock pattern first published in the 1960’s. This is a top down knit with a simple 2 x 2 ribbed pattern on the leg and top of the foot. Heel flap is worked in short rows with slip stitches for reinforcement, then joined to the body to finish out the foot.

A surprisingly fast knit, this modern hand knit, sleeveless dress lets beautiful hand-dyed yarns take center stage.
