This pattern is for a 38” chest with -1” ease (=37” chest). I used Rogers-esque Cardigan Jacket for cardigan dimensions, but was chiefly inspired by George. The 2x1 rib is very forgiving for changes in wearer’s dimensions.

Use whatever gauge with whatever number of stitches you want to get your desired width and stitch density, hence needle size is purely a suggestion.
