Firth was originally inspired by a photograph Gudrun Johnston posted to Instagram during Shetland Wool Week 2016. The colors on display struck me: the blue of the inlet, the gray of the rocks, the gold and black of the moss, and the green of the surrounding hills. I immediately wanted to turn it into a pattern.
