The shawl starts with 5 stitches and is then worked from charts all the way to the end, one after the other. Increases are done at the edges and a decrease in the middle to make the shape beautiful. Chapters of brioche and lace stitches blend together to keep it interesting.

Introduction

Karolina is a crecent shawl where almost all stitches are worked through back loop to give it a weaved fabric effect.

The shawl is knitted from the neck down in two color brioche stitch. Meaning each row is worked twice, one with main color (MC) and the other one with the contrast color (CC). The i-cord border is then worked around the entire shawl.

The name Karitas is a girl’s name meaning “beloved”.

Kakali is a name from Sanskrit meaning The voice of a bird.
