Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This fun design is a little trickier than it looks. It has intarsia on one side, stranded knitting on the other and some I-Cord to pull it all together. You’ll get plenty of practice with bobbins and tension (and weaving ends, oh my!) while making this eye-popping pillow.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This pattern is written as a washcloth but includes instructions for modifying into a scarf. It is worked from the bottom up with both written and charted instructions. The rose motif -seen as a snowflake in America- is a simple design of knits and purls that originated in Selbu, Norway.

The town of Nelsonville, just to the north, has its own unique and charming brick pattern, the Starbrick (1880-1937). These iconic bricks, and so many others, are enduring reminders of our stron...
Knitting: Tutorial
This tutorial is meant to be used as a handout in a class I am teaching at the 2016 Athens Area Fiber Faire in Athens, Ohio. While the information contained is fairly thorough, it is presented in a way that might appear abbreviated. It is my hope that by attaching helpful links at the end of the pattern, knitters will be able to “round out” the...
Knitting: Throw
This 12-square afghan is being created as a Mystery Knit-A-Long for the K.O.M. Rivers Knitting Guild. It is intended to expand the knitter’s repertoire with more challenging knitting techniques.
Knitting: Pixie Hat
This fun hood is roomy but warm. It is very easy to make and uses basic techniques.
Crochet: Scarf
Since this is for a scarf, gauge doesn’t really matter. I’ve crocheted this using single crochet and carried the yarn throughout the color changes.
