Knitting: Christmas Stocking
This classic Christmas Stocking is a great way to practice two-hand, two-color knitting. The cuff includes corrugated ribbing. There is a simple panel in which a name and/or date can by added with duplicate stitch. It is done in the round with both circular and double pointed needles.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl uses 3 coordinating yarns separated by a ribbon/tape type yarn to create the look of wings. You could also use just one or two yarns with a separating contrast and get a similar, but simpler winged effect. Supplies listed are for the samples in the photos.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This semi-circular shawl is worked side to side in a striping pattern. Stitches are then picked up to add a simple lace border ending in a picot bind off.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This top down crescent shaped shawl is formed by three distinct sections separated by contrasting color welts. The first two sections are garter and double moss stitch respectively, and the third combines the two colors in a slip stitch or mosaic pattern representing the building blocks of friendships.
