Amazing Braids is a repeat blanket, the repeat being 51 stitches wide. There is also a 68 row vertical repeat. I made a blanket using 3 repeats horizontally and 2 repeats vertically. Repeat what is between the ( ) for as many times as needed.

His ‘n’ Hers Baby Blankets are picture blankets. They are both 114 stitches by 154 rows. Finished blanket is approx. 40” x 30”. They can be done in multiple colours (tapestry mosaic), or just two colours (traditional mosaic)

Endeavour is a repeat pattern, the repeat being 36 stitches. With a 4 pattern repeat, the result is a blanket 60” x 43”. The pattern does not have any special stitches.

Teacher Appreciation is a picture blanket. It is 166 stitches by 228 rows. The blanket can be done in two colours (traditional mosaic) or different colours can be used. Finished throw without border is approximately 70” x 52”.

Betty’s Mosaic Blanket is a repeat blanket, with both a horizontal repeat and a vertical repeat. I did three horizontal repeats and three vertical repeats, the result was a lap blanket approximately 50 inches long by 40 inches wide (not including the border). You can of course make it wider, but you would want to do more vertical repeats as well.

Falling Stars is a repeat blanket, with both a horizontal repeat and a vertical repeat. I did two horizontal repeats and four vertical repeats, the resulting blanket was approximately 62 inches long by 49 inches wide (not including the border). Simply Diamonds is a repeat blanket, the repeat being 18 stitches wide. There is also a large vertical repeat of 107 rows. For a nice size blanket (approx 50” x 60”), I suggest 8 horizontal repeats (167 stitches) and 2 repeats vertically for a total of 223 rows (2 repeats, plus 4 rows to start and 4 to finish). My son is difficult to buy for, and I wanted to make something special for his 30th birthday, so I designed “Brad’s Tool Belt”. He’s a millwright, who has a lot of tools. Some of the tools he inherited from my dad, with old wooden handles, which is how I designed this, to have that vintage feel.

For this blanket, it you choose make it in multiple colours, you only need small amounts of scrap yarn. I used several shades of each colour and did two rows of each one, then reversed it and did a mirror image.

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was eight years old and I made a huge blanket from just one granny square. I would go home and finish a side and take it back to her every weekend and she would do the corners for me, until she taught me how to do them myself.
