Yarn over, cabled sock featuring about 200 beads 6/0mm.

This pattern is suitable for knitting two socks at a time. The beginning beaded diamond pattern is a bit time-consuming, but as the title suggests, “Only Time Will Tell.”

I love working with cables. For this sock, I was inspired by the lovely image of the Diamond Rock island. I added some openwork for airiness and lightness.

Since this is my 10th pattern, I decided to name it after the most famous No. 10, No. 10 Downing Street.

The pattern reminded me of splashes and rain rivulets on a window.

A variety of cables make for a very handsome sock. The heel flap is a continuation of the ribbing from the leg. The side panels of the heel flap including 2 stitch cables.

The Towers of Guernsey is based on Guernsey knit patterns. The two motifs are representative of the Towers of Guernsey and the central v-shaped represents the water’s edge of the island of Guernsey.

I was knitting this pattern with no idea for a title. I was watching a really strange movie, titled “Time Trap”. There were time loops within time loops. I thought, well the pattern has cables inside a large motif, could work. So tada, the title is Time Trap.
