Knitting: Cardigan
My daughter is obsessed with cats! She helped me pick the colors and design this sweater! I sewed little blue beads on for eyes, but any kind of floss or spare yarn wuld work just as well.
Knitting: Cardigan
A simple stitch pattern to make a basic cardigan more beautiful.

I have always loved dinosaurs for little boys. I knit the sweater in just a few days, but it sat around 95% finished for a few months… I didnt want it to end, I guess!

Having lived on islands almost my entire life, nautical themes are some of my favorites. Finally, a Whale! Are you a fan of Moby Dick? Switch the colors and make a White Whale!
Knitting: Cardigan
This Patriotic Sweater is a quick and easy knit for an Intermediate/ Intrepid Beginner Knitter! It’s ideally worked on circular needles (to avoid breaking yarn stitches are slid across needle when necessary).

Goldfish are one of my favorite motifs for Unisex Baby Sweaters. Finally, a chunky version is available for those that prefer heavier yarn! This quick knit is sure to add a little nautical fun to any baby’s wardrobe.
Knitting: Cardigan
This Chunky Baby Cardigan can be worked for a Girl or Boy. Mock Cable does not require a cable needle. Sleeves are written out sepatatley for all sizes to make reading this pattern a breeze!
Knitting: Cardigan
This pattern is painstakingly written out to keep you from having to ‘figure’ anything out. Follow the chart or follow the stitch by stitch directions, whatever you prefer!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
My friends and clients are always asking me, “Why can’t they just write it out? I don’t want to repeat rows 3-28 five times… Can you please write it out for me?”
Knitting: Christmas Stocking
One of my cousins asked me to knit her famly simple stockings with only 2 colors. I was surprised by how few patterns there were available! This stocking is knit in the traditional way (from the top down, and in the round after the heel has been worked), but broken down into smaller steps with pictures.

Like most people who knit, i hate to wate yarn… I love to use up every scrap!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This Shawlette pattern is photographed in English Garden, a limited edition color from Frabjuous Fibers. I then chose a Light Contrast and a Dark Contrast, one hank each at 410 yards.

Knitting: Cardigan
This is the sweater that started a whole series for me. Over the years, I have continually been asked by students to re-write patterns for them- with only the numbers they needed. It finally came to me: why not make a whole series of patterns written this way. Designed for the knitter with no one to turn to for advice, each pattern gives you on...
Crochet: Hats - Other, Accessories - Other
I was asked to do this set for a baby shower, the baby herself being due in October. It’s designed to fit a 7-10 lb baby, for one of those newborn photo shoots that are all the rage. This is suitable for anyone advanced beginner and above.
Knitting: Scarf
This is a great unisex scarf for the knitter who needs both sides to look alike. It’s also a great project for the absent-minded knitter: the pattern will maintain itself even if you leave out an occasional row. This yarn is beautiful, but expensive and a little tough to find, but 325 yards of any soft chunky yarn (3.5 sts/inch in stst) should ...

Knitting: Cardigan
To get the best result, make sure you are knitting on small enough needles… the fabric needs to be dense to prevent show-through of floats. Be consistent - always bring the color you are about to use under the color you were just using. Don’t leave floats over 3 stitches long. Use one strand each of MC and CC1, but for flower centers use a diff...
Knitting: Bonnet
This is a must have for any baby girl who experiences very cold weather. It’s adorably cute, very warm, and stays put. It’s pictured in an 18 month size on a 13 month old baby. It’s a little big on her, which you can’t tell from the picture. Make sure you get a good, fuzzy angora or fake fur yarn.

My baby wore the smallest size home from the hospital, but it was quite big on her (she weighed 8 lbs when leaving the hospital). It fit her the whole first summer, until she weighed about 13 lbs. Perfect for a christening, naming, or any special party. I made the largest size for her 1 YR Birthday, which should fit her until about 16 months.
Knitting: Cardigan
Easy construction raglan. Very simple instructions, suitable for a first sweater project.

Hat is Pictured in Dandy by Bouton D’Or, and I dyed the colors myself with food dye and vinegar. You can use any yarn that will give you a nice, snug feel at this gauge. If it’s not a little on the stiff side the point won’t stand up. Slippery yarns are not recommended as they will flop. If desired, you can stuff the point. The tulle is cut fro...

Top Seed Cotton unfortunately is no longer available. Any DK weight yarn will work nicely, but make sure you get a nice, bright orange and a dark turq/teal. (Stay away from anything to aqua). Tahki’s Cotton Classic is a great bet, but make sure you check the gauge carefully as it can be knit more loosely.

This sweater was made for my newest nephew, who should come in September 2013. I find cables to be dull, so this sweater has pretty much the fewest cables you can get away with … without making your project look like a messy glob. If you prefer a neater look, or if you are perhaps just less lazy than myself, cable every 4th row instead of every...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I love an oversized hat that droops in the back. Designed for the beginner knitter, the faux colorwork will impress your friends. I love Blossom Street’s cashmere blend, Fleur De Lis, because it’s so soft, but the loose spin doesn’t wear as well as most cashmerinos out there (which would work equally well). For the striping yarn I used Viking O...
Knitting: Beret, Tam
Fashion silk is great to work with. it doesn’t feel ropey or slippery like a lot of silks can due to the tubular construction. For this reason, it’s unusually good for color work and for the stretch of a hat. Take great care in subbing any yarn as it may greatly change the size of your project. This yarn is listed as a chunky, but i found it kn...

Knitting: Cardigan
This is a super-easy pattern, suitable for beginners. It’s great because you can use that spare ball of furry (or novelty) stuff stuck in your stash that isn’t enough to do anything with, and virtually all yarn stores have something nice in a dk.
Knitting: Sleeveless Top
This top took a long time to complete, mostly because it was interrupted by a pregnancy, and I finally wore it for the first time sometime after baby’s first birthday. I’m picky about clothes in general, so when I make something for myself, I am paranoid about the fit. My tip for a snug tank - the finished measurement should be smaller than bus...
