My own sock drawer is made up of many pairs of one off socks. I will try out a new stitch pattern, a new cuff design or just pushing the boundaries of how many cables and lace patterns I can incorporate into a single sock.

The next pattern in the Garden Party Collection features a lace design that swirls up the front the sock. When I chose the color for the sock, I immediately thought of blueberries. And then, I thought about a delicious dessert, a Blueberry Fool; layers of cream and blueberries that swirl together.

For the third pattern of the Garden Party Collection we are going to use a lovely group of mini’s. When I designed this pattern and rotated through the different color mini’s, I thought of how layers of berries and cake and cream come together in a trifle. For the second pattern of the Garden Party Collection we are going back to one of my favorite cable designs. I love fresh summer fruit and definitely love brighter, deeper yarn colors. It’s wonderful when they can come together in a sock design.

The first pattern in the Garden Party Collection features a lace design using a sock yarn with a coordinating mini. At first glance you are not sure how the design is composed. The secret to the movement of the design is alternating panels of garter and yarn overs.

Ah, lace socks, with cables and seed stitch. It sounds as though there is a lot going on, however the result is nothing but spectacular. Each part of the design works together to provide you a sense of enjoyment when you wear them…or gift them to others.
