Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This versatile accessory that satisfies requirements not only for everyday wear, but as a wardrobe extension. Like the classic little black dress, it moves from day—with a coat as a cowl or scarf-like accessory—to evening as an elegant wrap that shows off beautiful lace work in both the front and back.
Knitting: Cowl
An excellent project for handspun--especially when the yarn is not as perfectly spun as planned. The 4-row rib is very easy to knit and forms what appears to be a complex textured pattern due to the exaggerated stitches caused by shifting the working needles on the front bed every two rows.
Knitting: Cowl
The Jersey Waterways cowl is worked flat in an easy to follow lace pattern, which is worked on both sides but maintains the same number of stitches throughout. As knit, the design makes decorative, undulating edges that require no additional finishing. Gauge is not critical.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Ideal for variegated and hand-painted yarns, the shawl is knit with two threads—one a brightly colored and variegated sock yarn and the other a light-weight mohair/silk blend in a solid, complementary color. The combination subtly modulates the variegation and provides a soft halo effect to the finished garment.
