Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Reminiscent of the roots of the Redwood trees I grew to love and cherish as a child, Tree Roots begins at the bottom edge and grows upwards. Using just 440ish yards of a yummy sock or fingering weight yarn, you can get away with just a single skein of most of your favorite yarns!

Knitting: Boot Cuffs / Toppers
With the current trend of tall boots (like riding boots) these boot cuffs/boot-toppers are meant to add a hint of bright color and a bit of femininity to the starkness of the boots. Made for a friend of mine as an “I’m sorry it’s taking me forever to knit your knee high socks” gift. These worked up quickly in just a weekend!

Initially started as a pair of socks, Toby’s Mitts came about thanks to a special request made by my aunt. Her loving cat Toby loved to curl up on her hands while she was typing, but when he wasn’t there, her hands were always cold. She couldn’t find a pair of gloves that were thin enough to continue typing, but nothing else could keep her hand...

After goofing around with my basic slouchy hat pattern for a couple of test-knits, I opted to scrap the whole thing and start from scratch.
