Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless mitts are knit cuff-down using an Estonian cast-on for extra stretch, with a traditional thumb gusset. (Link to instructions for cast on included in pattern.)
Knitting: Ankle Sock
This pattern would be great for lace beginners but is still fun and interesting for more advanced knitters.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This simple pattern is the one that my grandmother taught me and uses about 300yds or 2oz (approx. 56 grams) of any soft sock yarn. For the socks in the picture I used Knit Picks Stroll. I love it because it’s soft and knits up perfectly every time but you can use any fingering weight yarn.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
A classic cuff-down pattern for an easy ankle sock using the stretchy Estonian cast-on. You can also use a long-tail cast on if you prefer.
