This scarf is simple enough for a beginner, yet has plenty of texture and details. Crocheted longwise using half-double crochet stitches, with double crochet trim on the ends, ending in a fun, twisted fringe.

Bare branches and grey skies remind us that it’s still winter, while melting snow hints at warmer temperatures to come.

This simple project has a hung hem, and an eyelet row with an i-cord drawstring at the top. It can be worn as a hat with a gathered top, or untied and worn as a neckwarmer.
