Knitting: Cowl
The pattern motif on this cowl reminds me of kittens or maybe lambs, which is how my brain translates this variation of a traditional houndstooth motif. The cashmere yarn is light, soft, and very warm, making this accessory something you’ll want to reach for on a chilly winter day. And always remember, you deserve the best, you’re worth it, you...
Knitting: Poncho
One skein does the trick! Simple lace and color changes inherent in the yarn provide some interest as you go. Want it super simple? Omit the lace and knit a stockinette version. Still very wearable!

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
ERRATA: On the bird charts (Charts D and E), the legend should indicate dots as Knit on the WS and Purl on the RS, while empty boxes are Purl on the WS and Knit on the RS. On the right side of the fabric, the birds should appear in stockinette stitch on a field of reverse stockinette. Row 1 of both charts is a WS row.

Crochet: Cowl
Inspired by the Yaquina Bay Bridge, this elegant cowl features a broomstick crochet edging and is worked in the round until it reaches the desired height.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The simple slip and twist stitches in this sock look great in solid or striped yarns.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The stitch pattern on the front of these socks reminds me of colorful spinnaker sails often seen on racing sailboats. In this sock, the sails course down the front of the leg and across the instep, while the waving ribs on the back of the leg and heel flap represent the wake of the boats on the water.
Knitting: Scarf
The Mixed Signals Scarf is a one-skein scarf that works up very quickly and is a great way to combine the different textures of knitting and crochet.
Knitting: Scarf
Knit end to end with the cable pattern changing directions at the center point. No grafting or provisional cast on required.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Inspired by Elizabeth Zimmerman’s February Baby Sweater in the Knitter’s Almanac and on the heels (oh, how punny) of the February Lady Sweater craze, here are socks using the same lace pattern.
