Knitting: Cowl
The “Loom Knit Fringed Bandana” is a warm cowl with a wide tip at the front. It is worked sideways flat using a broken rib stitch to add texture, and a knitted-in fringe worked at the same time you work the pattern, to make it different. The first and last rows are grafted using the Brenda Myers’ Kitchener bind off technique, adapted to 1x1 rib.

This is a lovely reversible cowl, framed by a border of rice stitch pattern that looks like a broken rib on the reverse side, and worked in stripes of “real“ two color brioche stitch pattern in the round, the kind of brioche pattern you get when knitting with needles.
