This sock is based on museum original from the collections of Finnish National museum (item number SU4524:19ab). It is a traditional sock for Ingrian women, collected to museum at year 1889. In the pattern there is a chart for colorwork and general instructions.

The original mitten was collected to Estonian National museum by painter Kristjan Raud, from Kadrina Parish.
