When you get sick, the first antibody your immune system makes is this IgM antibody. It has ten binding sites (the ten tips of the five Ys) for maximum germ-busting power! I made this pattern during the COVID-19 pandemic -- I crocheted a coronavirus, and then developed this antibody to go with it :)
